Windows Serer 2012 Users That Run into NTFS Partition Low Disk Space Issue

"How to resolve low disk space problem on Windows Server 2012? The D drive which has NTFS file system is running out of disk space. I cannot save data to this partition anymore, so I want to reallocate some free space to this partition. I tired to run Disk Management to resize the hard disk but failed. I don't want to repartition hard disk because I don't have extra storage media to backup all data on the hard disk. Is there any way to resize hard disk on Windows Server 2012 without repartitioning disk?"

"Hello! I want to look for a partition tool to extend the space of partition on Windows Server 2012. The partition has NTFS file system with about 50GB total capacity, but it only has less than 1GB free space left. So I want to move some free space from the C drive to extend the NTFS partition. C drive has FAT32 file system which works as system partition. Can anybody recommend a partition tool?"

Partition Software for NTFS Partition Resizing

It is true that you can use Windows Server partition manager and partition magic to extend disk partition when it is running on low disk space on Windows Server 2012. NTFS file system has its own advantages, but you cannot resize partition size if you don't use any partition software. The IM-Magic Partition Resizer Server has the ability to increase size of NTFS partition without touching data stored on the partition. In order to extend the partition size, you should make sure there is enough free space on other partition on the same hard disk. Thus, you can run the partition software to squeeze some unallocated space from the partition that has enough free space to extend the NTFS partition. Generally speaking, you can move free space from a system partition or data partition to extend the partition that is running out of disk space.

Extend NTFS Partition without Losing Data

The reason why you are so upset when a partition is running out of disk space is that all files stored on the partition are very important, so you cannot delete any of them to free up disk space. Therefore, you need to increase the size of the partition. However, you may worry about data loss during partition resizing. If you can use IM-Magic Partition Resizer Server, you can resize hard disk and reallocate disk space without losing any data. The partition software provides a secure way to perform partition resizing with original data untouched.

Resize FAT32 Partition Windows 2012

You can move free space from an FAT32 partition to extend NTFS partition. On the contrary, you can also extend an FAT32 partition by moving free space from a NTFS partition. The partition software supports you to increase size of FAT32 partition as long as there is free space on other partition. You can use this partition software to extend system partition without hurting operating system or rebooting your computer. This partition software is fully compatible with Windows Server 2012, Windows Server 2012 R2 and other Windows Servers to help partition resizing.
