if you want to merge two partitions to extend partition space on Windows system, you can first make it at Disk Management module. But for some Windows 10/7 users, they often find it is unable to merge partitions with system partition manage tool. When they click “Extend Volume” option, Windows will pop out an error window to tell you that the merge operation failed. This is because there is no enough unallocated space, if you choose two partitions not adjacent, you will also fail to merge these two partitions.
First, I will show you a solution which can merge two partitions without software, you can simply combine partitions at Disk Management.
Right click “My Computer”, choose “Manage”, and enter “Disk Management”.
