After running Windows Server for a period of time, C drive runs out of space. It happens because of regular Windows update, software, cache and many other files went to C drive regularly. Low space means low process speed and you can not afford server downtime while installing the Windows Server 2012 r2 again. Yes, you can create free space by deleting data from C drive but it won't help and it's just a temporary solution. It is possible to increase or extend system C partition size windows server 2012 without losing data. There are 2 possible solutions:

Follow the steps below to resize partitions using Windows disk management:

Step 1: Right click on the Windows icon from the start menu and select “Disk Management”. Here you will be able to find all the connected disk partitions.
