Windows Server 2012 System Partition Low Disk Space

"When I start my PC, system says that C drive (system partition) is running on low disk space and I need to delete some files to free up the disk space. I have never encountered the similar problem before, so I don't know if it will have any influence if the system partition keeps running out of disk space. However, I don't want to delete any file. Did anybody have the similar experience about system partition low disk space? Can you tell me how to resolve the problem? By the way, my PC is running Windows Server 2012 operating system."

I need some free space on system partition on Windows Server 2012 because system frequently says low disk space warning message. Extend Volume option under Disk Management is grayed out, so I cannot extend the system partition there. Is there any other way to increase the size of system partition?

Increase Size of System Partition with Partition Software

When installing a hard disk on computer, you may divide the hard disk into several partitions and allocate reasonable space to each partition. If you want to reallocate disk space, you may need to repartition the hard disk. However, with the professional partition software IM-Magic Partition Resizer Server, you can reallocate disk space without repartitioning hard disk. This partition software works as magic to move free space from one partition to another. Therefore, you can increase the size of system partition easily as long as there is free space on other partition. However, you should remember that you can only move free space on the same hard disk. If there is more than one hard disk on your computer, you cannot move free space from one hard disk to another disk.

Why Extend Volume Is Grayed out under Disk Management?

There is an "Extend Volume" option under Disk Management on Windows Server 2012. This option can help you extend a volume so that you don't need to repartition hard disk to reallocate disk space or reformat disk to free up space. However, in many situations, the "Extend Volume" option is grayed out. Why? Well, Disk Management works as disk management tool and the "Extend Volume" functions similar as a partition tool to resize hard disk on Windows Server 2012. However, you can extend a partition under Disk management only on condition that there is adjacent unallocated space. If there is no adjacent unallocated space, the "Extend Volume" will be grayed out.
