C Drive Is Running out of Space Server 2003

"When booting my PC, Windows Server 2003 system pops up an alert message to say that C drive is running out of disk space. I tried to perform Disk cleanup tool to remove cookies and caches, but C drive still runs on low space. I also tried to uninstall some unnecessary programs, but it does no help to resolve the low disk space problem. How can I extend C drive on Server 2003?"
"I have just realized that C drive was getting full on my Windows Server 2003. I have tried to delete a data partition to produce some unallocated space. Then, I run Diskpart command to try to add the unallocated space to C drive. However, the problem is that Windows says that the selected drive cannot be extended. I don't know why I cannot extend the C drive with Diskpart command. However, I want to know how can I extend the Windows 2003 C drive?"

Windows Diskpart has the function of extending disk partition on Server 2003 as long as there is unallocated space. However, Diskpart cannot extend a system partition or FAT32 partition, so you may fail when you run Diskpart to extend C drive even if there is existing unallocated space. If C drive is not system partition and it is NTFS file system, you are able to run Diskpart to extend it. In this situation, you still need to ensure that the unallocated space is right close to C drive. If the unallocated space is not close to C drive, you need to delete the partition between C drive and the unallocated space because Diskpart cannot move a partition.
